Coffee Roasters Paintings November 2006 at Starbucks at the Lodge in Bellevue WA

Ezju and his coffee paintings will be returning to Starbucks at the Lodge in the Bellevue Square Mall this November 2006. This year’s show will feature coffee roasters and the roasting process. The series will of course be painted using coffee as a medium.

The painting style will be much more loose and watercoloresque than previous Coffee Culture series by Ezju. While the Coffee Roaster series is still part of Coffee Culture, Ezju wanted to make a clear visual distinction between the consumer scenes and the commercial compositions.

A sneak preview will be posted on this blog and the No Such Animal Studios Web site http://www.nosuchanimal.net at the end of July 2006. The rest of the series will be premiered at the November 2006 show at Starbucks at the Lodge.

While this is only the second show for Ezju at this venue it may just become an annual show. Feedback from last year’s en caustic and coffee paintings emulating barista foam art was very positive. The art manager, Lauren Farricker, said it was the best received show of the year!
